How to Check the Polling Booth Details?
Karnataka election officers have facilitated voter to know details of their polling booth and check their names in the electoral roll just by sending SMS to
KAEPIC <space> EPIC Number send to 9731979899
Ex: KAEPIC XYZ1509201
You can also find this information on the official election website http://www.ceokarnataka.kar.nic.in/
- Scroll down and find the ‘I want to’ section, under that click on the ‘Know my polling station’
- You can get the SMS details there
Once a voter sends his EPIC number in the above-said format to the given number, he will get complete details like their names in the electoral register; assembly constituency name and number; serial number; part number and also room number with names of the polling station.
And using online access, a voter can check details on the electoral roll by clicking ‘search my name in voter list’ in ‘I Want to’ in the webpage of the chief electoral officer, Karnataka i.e http://www.ceokarnataka.kar.nic.in/. There are two options to check details in this way, one is by searching through the EPIC number, one is by your name.
A voter can also cross verify the details by entering “View electoral rolls in PDF” under ‘I want to’ column in the electoral officer webpage if they want details like part and serial number along with constituency name.
